Notes for Ann Winward
Ann Winward was born in 1850 in Westhoughton, and was the daughter of James Winward (1822) and Mary Taylor. In 1851 she was living at Caldwell Cottages, Westhoughton. In 1861 she was aged 11, was working as a silk weaver and living in Chapel Lane, Westhoughton. In 1871 she was still both a silk weaver and living in Chapel Lane. She married Thomas Mangnall in 1875. In 1881 she was living at 3 Harrison's Square in Wigan. In 1891 she was living at 18 Baker Street, Westleigh. In 1901 she was living at 20 Kirkhall Lane in Leigh and, in 1911, at 12 Kirkhall Lane.
