Harry Mangnall was the son of Thomas Mangnall (1853) and Ann Winward and was born in Leigh in 1888. In 1891 he was living at 18 Baker Street, Westleigh. In 1901 he was working as a cotton tenter, and was living at 20 Kirkhall Lane, Leigh. In 1911 he was working as a brush maker and living at 12 Kirkhall Lane, Leigh.
