Notes for Henry Rawston
Henry Rawston was born in 1837 in Little Walsingham and was the son of Richard Rawston (1812) and Susannah Smith. In 1851 he was working as a bricklayer and was living in the Robin Hood inn in Little Walsingham. He married Rebecca Plane around 1855. In 1861 he and his family were living with his father-in-law, Robert Plane, in the Bridewell, Little Walsingham. Henry was then working as a journeyman carpenter. In 1881 he was a builder and the licensee of the Robin Hood. From 1865 to 1896 he was the landlord of the Crown in Guild Street, Little Walsingham, and was a builder, contractor, wheelwright, lime-burner and general smith. He was listed as a carpenter in 1883. In 1901 he was a builder in Little Walsingham. In 1911 he was living with his sister-in-law Elizabeth Bush in Walsingham. He died in Walsingham in 1922.
