Ann King was born in 1753 in Wayborn or Wickmere, Norfolk. She married Robert Broughton (b.1748) at Plumstead on 22nd January 1771. On the banns of Robert and Ann was an unusual comment: "impediment alleged", and this may have been the illegitimate birth of John Broughton at Barningham Town in 1768.
