Mary Elizabeth was born around 1865 and married James Taylor Winward, (1862) in 1884. She was the daughter-in-law of James Winward (1822). In 1891 she was working as a cotton weaver and was living at 168 Bolton Road, Westhoughton. In 1901 she was living at 63 Park Road, Westhoughton. In 1911 she was living at 2 Clough Fold, Westhoughton.
