Elisabeth Mangnall was born in 1821 and was christened on 16th September. She was the daughter of Thomas Mangnall (1795) and Ellen Pierpoint. In 1841 she was living in Dobb Brow, Deane - later Westhoughton - and working as a cotton weaver. She married James Coop (1820) . In 1851 she was living in Dobb Brow with her family and her in-laws and was working as a silk weaver.
