Alice was born in Pemberton around 1829 and was probably married to someone called Baines. She had a daughter - Margaret Baines - in 1849. She married John Ainscough (1839) in 1861. In 1871 she was living in Goose Green, Pemberton. She was the daughter-in-law of William Ainscough (1816). In 1881 she was living in Little Lane in Pemberton. In 1891 she was living at 171 Enfield Street, Pemberton.
