James Ainscough was born around 1899 in Standish and was the son of James Ainscough (1867) and Mary Ann Ollerton. In 1901 he was aged 2 and living at 99 Lower Ground, Standish with Langtree. In 1911 he was living at 184 Standish Lower Ground and was at school. He died in Chorley in 1962, aged 63.
