Richard Ainscough was born on 8th June 1889 in Aspull and was the son of James Ainscough (1867) and Mary Ann Ollerton. In 1891 he was aged 2 and was living at 22 Little Scotland in Blackrod. In 1901 he was aged 11 and was living at 99 Lower Ground, Standish with Langtree. He died at Crooke, near Wigan, in 1947, aged 57.
