Henry Ainscough was born around 1894 in Standish and was the son of James Ainscough (1867) and Mary Ann Ollerton. In 1901 he was aged 7 and was living at 99 Lower Ground, Standish with Langtree. In 1911 he was living at 184 Standish Lower Ground and working as a coal miner.
