Jabez Eke was the son of John Eke (1808) and Susannah Scott and was born , probably in Guestwick, in 1829. In 1841 he was living on the Green Guestwick. He married a woman called Elizabeth. In 1851 he was living in the household of his uncle, William (1804) in Guestwick and working as an agricultural labourer. In 1861 he was living in Guestwick and working as a carter. He died in the Aylsham RD in 1916.
