Matthew T. Eke was born in Stakeford Lane, Northumberland, and was the son of William Eke (1833) and Sarah Ann Fuller. In 1881 he was living in Short’s Terrace, Bedlington, near Morpeth in Northumberland. In 1891 he was living in Bedlington.
