Notes for Walter Eke
Walter Eke was the son of John Eke (1808) and Susannah Scott and was born in Guestwick in 1851. In 1851 and 1861 he was living in Guestwick. In 1871 he was living with his mother and stepfather Daniel Newman in Foulsham, where he was working as a farm labourer. He married Ann Pierce in 1872. In 1881 he was living near the Pine Apple in Great Fransham and working as an agricultural labourer. In 1891 he was living at Coombes Meadow, Toftrees near Walsingham, and working as an agricultural labourer. In 1901 he was living in Ranham Road, Toftrees, and working as a labourer and cowman.
