William H Holding was born in Westhoughton in 1878 and was the son of James Holding (1838) and Mary. In 1881 he was living at 19 Chapel Street, Ilkeston. In 1891 he was living at 34 Station Road, Ilkeston. He married Katurah Louisa H Henshaw in the Basford RD in 1900. In 1901 he was living at 9 Opehard Street in Ilkeston.
