Lilly Ann Timbers was born in 1878 in Kingston-upon-Thames and was the daughter of Matthew Timbers (1834) and Emma. In 1891 she was living with her parents at 194 Kings Road, Kingston. She married Post Office porter George Foster in 1900 and, in 1901, was living at 113 Saltram Crescent, Paddington.
