Matthew Timbers was born on 22nd September 1833 in Sco Ruston and was the son of Joseph Timbers (1806) and Ann Pooley. In 1841 he was living in Sco Ruston. In 1861 he was single and was working as a gardener in Sco Ruston. He married Emma Dobson in 1866. In 1891 he was at 194 Kings Road, Kingston-upon-Thames and working as a gardener and florist. In 1901 he was working as a gardener in Kingston. He died in Kingston in 1903, age given as 72.
