Notes for Mary Ann RAWSTON
Mary Anne Rawston was born in 1819 in Little Walsingham and was the daughter of William Rawston (1784) and Mary Ann Folker. In 1841 she was aged 19 and living in Stonegate Street, Little Walsingham. She married Robert Pomfrey (1816) by licence on 22nd January 1843 in the church of St. Gregory, Norwich. In 1851 she was living in Guild Street, Little Walsingham, next to the Robin Hood inn owned by her brother Richard. In 1861 and 1871 she was living in East Street, Langham. In 1881 she was living at 5 Barnard's Yard, High Street, Lowestoft. By 1891 she and Robert had moved to 37a Crown Street. She was widowed in 1893 and was living at 66 St Peter's Street in Lowestoft In 1901 she was "living on own means" at 66 St Peter's Street. She died in St Peter's Street from senile decay on 26th 1903 aged 84 and was buried on 29th January 1903 in Lowestoft Cemetery, plot 8/97.
