Ellen Mangnall was born in Westhoughton in 1885 and was the daughter of William Mangnall (1863) and Sarah Unsworth. In 1891 she was living at 102 Market Street, Westhoughton. In 1901 she was at 102 Market Street and working as a cotton weaver.
