Mary Ann Mingay was born in Norwich in 1844 and was the daughter of Frederic Mingay (1820) and Sarah Harriet Bridges. In 1851 she was living in Crooks Place, Chapel Street, Norwich. In 1871 she was working as a shoebinder in Norwich and was living with her parents in the Greengrocer’s shop in Crooks Place, Norwich. She married John Warnes in Norwich in 1872. In 1881 she was living in Bailey Street, Heigham.
