Lily Edith Knights was born in Pakefield on 17th February 1919 and was the daughter of Henry Knights (1872) and Kate Louisa Broughton. In 1939 she was living at 27 St. Georges Road, Lowestoft, and was a beatster - someone who worked on fishing nets. She died, unmarried, in October 1941 and was buried in plot K/U/203, Kirkley Cemetery, on 23rd October.
