George Howell was born around 1776 in Sibton and married Phoebe Fiske in Orford on 23rd January 1799. He was a cordwainer. In 1841, 1851 and 1861 he was living in Sweffling - where Rachel, his daughter, was married. He died in the Union Workhouse, Wickham Market, from old age on 13th September 1864, where he was listed as an agricultural labourer.
