William Goldspink was born in 1825 in. He married a woman called Mary Ann, but also had several children - another family, some of whom were living with him - by a woman named Myra Knights. In 1841 he was a servant in the household of George Bevan in Horningsheath Green. In 1851 he was living with wife Mary Ann and their two children in Church Street, Pakefield, where William was a farm labourer. In 1871 he was listed as a fisherman and was living at 1 Runacles Cottage in Kirkley. In 1881 his occupation was given as a carter and he was living at 2 Barn Lane in Pakefield. Mary Ann died in 1883.
