Eliza Burwick was born around 1821 in Norwich. She was the second wife of George Henry Garrould (1818) and married him in Halesworth in 1868. In 1871 she was living in Thoroughfare, Halesworth. In 1881 she was living in Thoroughfare, Halesworth. In 1891 she was living in Halesworth Road, Blyford. Eliza died in 1897 and is buried in the nonconformist area of Halesworth Cemetery. It is possible that Eliza was the widow of a London cheesemonger called William Burwick, and that she had been married before to someone called Smith. An Eliza Burwick aged 40 was living at 3 Noels Street in Southwark in 1861.
