William Henry V Oldfield was born in 1878 in Norwich and was the son of William Oldfield and Salome Elizabeth Emily Broughton (1849). In 1881 he was living at 8 Salisbury Terrace, Magpie Road, Norwich. In 1891 he was living at 27 Simpson Street, Battersea. He married Mary Jane Cayzer (1879), the daughter of William Cayzer and Susannah, in 1899. In 1901 he was working as a miller's labourer and was living at 9 Cranfield Street, Battersea. In 1911 he was still living at Cranfield Street and working as a carman. He died in Battersea in 1957, aged 79.
