John Booth was born around 1800. He married Ann Cunliffe on 31st January 1836 at St. Peter's Church, Bolton Le Moors. In 1843 he was a labourer and, in 1851, labouring at a pithead. His wife was running a grocer's shop in Blackrod. By 1861 he was living in Blackrod and working as the grocer. He died suddenly on 28th July 1868 in Little Scotland, Blackrod, aged 68.
