Ann J Ainscough was born in Hindley in 1895 and was the daughter of John W. Ainscough (b. 1865) and Dinah Dickinson. In 1901 and 1911 Ann was living at 176 Atherton Road, Hindley. In 1911 she was working as a house maid.
