Notes for Ralph AINSCOUGH
Ralph Ainscough was born in 1782 - perhaps the son of a James Ainscow born in Haig in 1757 - and christened on 10th February 1782 at St. Katherine's Church in Blackrod. He married Ann Ainscough on 18th May 1807 at St. Peter’s, Bolton-le-Moors. He was listed as a carter in 1807, and is described as Ralph Ainscow, Labourer, in his son William's marriage certificate of 1838. He died in Blackrod on 22nd July 1827, age 45.
