WALTER JAMES WINWARD (1870 - ?)
Walter James Winward was born in Westhoughton around 1870 and was the son of John Winward (1848) and Ann Mangnall. In 1881 he was aged 11, and was living at 204 Church Street, Westhoughton. He married a woman called Sarah Hindley in Westhoughton in 1891. In that year he was living at 8Hawksley Street in Horwich. In 1901 he was aged 32, was living at 280 Victoria Road, Horwich and was working as an iron turner.
