THOMAS WINWARD (1806 - 1842)
Thomas Winward was born and christened on 6th April 1806 in Westhoughton. He was the son of William Winward (1777) and Margaret Green. He married Betty Silcock on 2nd March 1829 at Westhoughton. In 1841 he was living in Winwick Lane, Warrington, and working as a coal dresser. He emigrated to America in the early 1840s. He died in Nauvoo, Illinois, on 14th October 1842, and was buried there.
