Jane
Winward was born around 1856 in Westhoughton and was the daughter
of James Winward (1822) and Mary Taylor. In 1861 she was living in
Chapel Lane, Westhoughton. In 1871 she was a silk weaver and living
in Chapel Lane. In 1881 she was a silk weaver living at 105 Church
Street in Westhoughton. She married railway signalman George Green
around 1879. She was present at the death of her father in Church
Street in 1881. In 1891 she was living at 22 Cemetery Road, Westhoughton.
In 1901 she was living at 72 Leigh Road, Westhoughton.
