ALICE WINWARD (1843 - ?)
Alice Winward was born in 1843 in Westhoughton and was the daughter of James Winward (1822) and Mary Taylor. In 1851 she was living at Caldwell Cottages, Westhoughton. In 1861 she was aged 18, was working as a silk weaver and was living in Chapel Lane, Westhoughton. She married a coal miner called James Barton in 1867. In 1881 she was aged 38 and living at 206 Church Street, Westhoughton. She was present at the death of Mary Taylor in 1888.
