Samuel Taylor was born around 1800. He was the father-in-law of James Winward (1822), and married Jane Aspinall on 10th September 1820 in Bolton-le-Moors. In 1841 he was living at Gate Pike, Great Bolton, and working as a weaver. He was listed as a weaver in 1842. In 1851 he was living at 2 Blackshaw Lane, Westhoughton, and working as a weaver.
