MARY
TAYLOR (1821 - 1888)

Mary
Taylor was born in 1821 and christened on 19th August at St. Peter's,
Bolton-le-Moors. She was the daughter of Samuel Taylor (1800) and
Jane Aspinall. She married James Winward (1822) at the Parish Church,
Bolton-le-Moors, on 11th May 1842. In 1841 she was living at Gate
Pike, Great Bolton and working as a weaver. In 1851 she was living
at Caldwell Cottages, Westhoughton and working as a silk weaver. In
1852 she was living at White House, Westhoughton. In 1861 she was
working as a silk weaver and was living in Chapel Lane, Westhoughton.
In 1871 she was still living in Chapel Lane, but not working. By 1881
James had died and Mary was living at 105 Church Street in Westhoughton.
She died from bronchitis on 16th January 1888 at 206 Church Street,
Westhoughton, the house of her daughter Alice and son-in-law James
Barton.
