WILLIAM
RAWSTON (1784 - 1858)

William
Rawston was born in 1784 in Burnham Westgate (now Burnham Market)
and christened on 10th October. He was the son of William Rawston
(1748) and Ann Taylor. He married Mary Ann Folker (1786) in Little
Walsingham on 21st November 1805. In 1830 he was living in the High
Street in Little Walsingham and working as a plasterer and bricklayer.
In 1841 he was a builder and was living in Stonegate Street, Little
Walsingham. In 1843 he was described as a bricklayer on the marriage
certificate of his daughter, Mary Ann. In 1844, he was granted an
8-year lease on 3 acres and 3 roods of land in Houghton St. Giles.
In 1851 he was a retired builder and was living in Stonegate Street.
He died on 9th April 1858 in Little Walsingham.
