HENRY
RAWSTON (1855 - ?)
|
Henry
Rawston was the son of Henry Rawston (1837) and Rebecca Plane and
was born in Little Walsingham in 1855. In 1861 he was living in the
household of his grandfather, Robert Plane in the Bridewell, Little
Walsingham. In 1871 he was living in the household of his uncle, master
carpenter Edward Page, in Spotland, Lancashire, and was an apprentice
joiner. He married Isabella Pearson from St. Annes on Sea in 1878.
In 1881 he was boarding with his sister Emma in the household of John
Plane in Lower Rockliffe, Spotland, and working as a joiner. His wife
and their children were living with Isabella's mother in Lytham at
that time. By 1891 he had moved back to Bridewell Street in Little
Walsingham and was listed as a farmer. In 1901 he was the inkeeper
at the Ferry House in Surlingham. After Isabella's death in 1904,
Henry re-married in 1908 - possibly to Gertrude Mable Coe.
