George
Graver H Rawston was born around 1868 in Little Walsingham and was
the son of William John Rawston (1833) and Charlotte Hall. He was
the grandson of Richard Rawston (1812) and great-grandson of William
Rawston (1784). In 1881 he was aged 13, was at school and was living
in Knight Street, Little Walsingham. At the time of the 1891 census,
he was working as a carpenter and joiner and was listed as a visitor
in the hosuehold of William Priest, an Excise Officer, in Methwold.
He married Eva Smith in Walsingham in 1899. In 1901 he was aged 33,
was working as a carpenter and was living in Knight Street with his
wife and mother.
