Ann Rawston
was born in 1838 in Little Walsingham and was the daughter of Richard
Rawston (1812) and Susannah Smith. She was the granddaughter of William
Rawston (1784). In 1841 she was living in Common Place, Little Walsingham.
In 1851 she was living at the Robin Hood Inn in Little Walsingham.
She married Thomas William Purdy (1834) in 1855 and, in 1861, was
living with him at the Robin Hood. In 1871 she was working as a dressmaker
and was living in the High Street, Little Walsingham. In 1881 she
was living in the High Street, East Side, Little Walsingham. She was
widowed by 1891 and was listed as a painter [& decorator] in Little
Walsingham in 1891 and 1892.
