THOMAS
WILLIAM PURDY (1834 - 1888)

Thomas
William Purdy was born around 1834 in Little Walsingham and was the
son of Robert Purdy (1802) and Martha Lambert. In 1841 he was living
in the High Street, Little Walsingham. In 1851 he was an apprentice
plumber and glazier and was living in the High Street. In 1861 he
was working as a painter and living at the Robin Hood Inn in Creake
Road, Little Walsingham. In 1871 he was working as a painter and plasterer
and living in the High Street in Little Walsingham. He married Ann
Rawston (1838) in 1855. He was the son-in-law of Richard Rawston and
the grandson-in-law of William Rawston (1784). In 1881 he was working
in Little Walsingham. He was listed as a painter in 1883. Thomas died
in late 1888.
