William Robert Pomfrey was born in 1872 in Lowestoft and was the son
of Edmund Pomfrey (b.1843) and Mary Timbers. In 1881 he was aged 8
and living at 2 County Villas, Lowestoft. In 1891 he was aged 19,
was a solicitor's clerk and was living at 4 Sydney Cottages, County
Villas. In 1901 he was aged 28 and was working as a painter and decorator
in Little Walsingham.
