Daisy Pomfrey was born on 27th February 1877 at 4 North Raglan Street, Lowestoft and was the daughter of Edmund Pomfrey (b. 1843) and Mary Timbers. In 1881 she was aged 4 and was living at 2 County Villas in Lowestoft. In 1891 she was living at 4 Sydney Cottages, County Villas, Lowestoft. In 1901 she was aged 23 and was working as a milliner. She lived at 153 London Road in Lowestoft. She married Lemuel Charles Broughton on 4th May 1903 at the Lowestoft Register Office in 43 St Peter's Street. She lived in Pakefield after her marriage and lived at 14 Walton Road, Lowestoft from 1925 until 1953. She died from a stroke at 45 Norwich Road, Lowestoft on 19th November 1953. She was buried on 21st November 1953, aged 76, in Lowestoft Cemetery, plot 27/453.
