Lawrence
Mangnall was born in 1795 and christened on 9th August 1795, probably
in Westhoughton. He was the son of William Mangnall (1762) and Ann
Harrison. In 1820 he was cited in the Lancashire County Quarter Sessions
with a Thomas Harrison, for a prosecution. He married a woman called
Immin around 1821. In 1841 he was living in Dobb Brow, Deane - later
Westhoughton - and working as a cotton weaver. He was described as
a weaver in 1847 and had died before 1851.
