ABEL
MANGNALL (1828 - 1902)

Abel
Mangnall was born in 1828 and christened on 20th April 1828 at Westhoughton.
He was the son of Lawrence Mangnall (1795) and Immin. In 1841 he was
living in Dobb Brow, Deane - later Westhoughton - and working as a
cotton weaver.. In 1851 he was living in Dobb Brow with his widowed
mother and working as a silk weaver. In 1861 he was working as a hand
loom silk weaver and living in Grove Lane. In 1871 he was working
as a silk twister and still living with his widowed mother in Grove
Lane. He was present at the death of his mother in Grove Lane in 1880.
In 1881 he was living at 103 Wigan Road and was a tea dealer. In 1891
he was living on his own means at 35 Grundy Street. In 1901 he was
living on his own means at 7 Gladstone Terrace. He died in early 1902,
aged 73.
