Hannah
was the daughter of a Heigham butcher called William Loveday.
There is some speculation that Hannah and her future husband
- Sydney Broughton - may have met while her father's cart was
being "fettled" by the Broughtons' business in Wright's
Yard in Norwich. All pure guesswork, of course, but a nice,
romantic story all the same... Hannah had thirteen children,
many of whom died in infancy, were stillborn or miscarried.
However, she was made of stern stuff and died aged 70 in either
Norwich or Costessey. |
