Dear
uncle and aunt and cousins, it is with pleasure that I now
write a few lines to you hoping to meet you and all the family
quite well as, thank God, I am happy to say it leaves us all
well. I dare say you will be surprised to receive a letter
from me, one whom you never see. Still, I should like to see
you all. Dear uncle, has uncle Riseborough aunt Sarah's likeness?
We should so like to have it. Give my kindest love to my aunt
and cousins. I am living in London in service. I have been
in London just 3 years. Uncle Robert's oldest daughter is
dead[1].
Mary, Catharine, Robert and James are married. Eliza and William
are single. Robert is married and has got seven children.
Uncle John has 4, and there were three married when I saw
them last. Do you know any thing about uncle George for I
can recollect him. Give my kindest love to all. I remain your
affectionate niece, Betsy Broughton[2].
This
is my address
