| Samuel
Insker was the son of Ralph Insker (1847) and Caroline Lowe, and was
born in White Heath, Staffordshire, in 1878. In 1881 he was aged 3
and was living in Cakemore, Worcestershire. Samuel married a woman
called Mary Goode around 1898. In 1901 he was aged 24, was working
as a coal hewer and was boarding with his in-laws at 52 Oldbury Road
in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire.
