Ralph
Insker was the son of Charles Ainscough (1818) and Charlotte Derbyshire,
and was born in Langley Green, Staffs., in 1847. In 1851 he was living
with his widowed mother in Langley Green. In 1861 he was living with
his mother in the household of Samuel Sneed or Smeeth in Sycamore
Lane, Oldbury. He married Caroline Lowe around 1866. In 1881, he was
aged 35 and was a widower living in Cakemore, Worcestershire. He was
a coal miner. In 1901 he was living at 26 Arden Street, Oldbury, Worcester
and was working as a manual labourer in a chemical works. He had remarried,
to Annie Feeney.
