RACHEL
HOWELL (1815-1866)
|
Rachel
Howell was born around 1815, probably in Halesworth but possibly in
Sweffling, and was the daughter of George Howell (1776) and Phebe.
She married George Henry Garrould (1818) at Sweffling Parish Church
on 25th December 1839. In 1841 she was living in Reynold's Yard, Halesworth.
In 1851 and 1861 she was listed as living in Chediston Street in Halesworth.
She died in Chediston Street from stricture of the oesophagus - probably
quinsy - on 10th July 1866, aged 51, and was buried in the Nonconformist
section of Halesworth cemetery on 14th July.
