| Elizabeth Holding was the daughter of John Holding (1830) and Mary Coman and was born in Hindley in 1870. In 1871 she was living in Ladies Lane, Hindley. In 1881 she was living at 7 Longfield Street, Aspull. In 1891 she was living at the Fair Trade Inn, 13 Wigan Road, Aspull, and working as a general servant and barmaid in her father’s public house.
