| Elizabeth Holding was born in Hindley in 1867 and was the daughter of William Holding (1837) and Mary. In 1871 she was living in Ladies Lane, Hindley. In 1881 she was living at Alexandria House, Nottingham Road, in Stapleford, Notts, where her father was a colliery manager. In 1901 she was living with her parents in Cossall, Notts.
