| Alice Holding was born in 1841 in Blackrod and was the daughter of James Holding (1810) and Jane Goulding. In 1841 she was living in Hill Lane, Blackrod. In 1851 she was living at Side of Moor, Aspull. In 1861 she was living in Ladies Lane, Hindley, and working as a milliner She married William Fogg in 1866. In 1871 she was living in Ladies Lane, Hindley. By 1881 the Foggs had moved to Ilkeston in Derbyshire, and Alice was living at 2 Spring Grove. In 1891 she was living at 51 Bath Street and, in 1901, at 87 Park Drive.
